Andermatt: Groundbreaking ceremony for Eisvogel apartment building
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Eisvogel apartment building was celebrated in Andermatt. The building is being constructed in a joint venture between Andermatt Swiss Alps and Swiss Property AG.
Haus Eisvogel implements a "smart studio concept" and is aimed at a young target group: the individual residential units are smaller than usual, but there are large common areas for all residents, such as a nearly 190-square-meter community area with kitchen, private dining and "chill-out" zone, a 100-square-meter spa with fitness and its own bar.
According to Andermatt Swiss Alps, sales of the studios have already begun, and completion of the apartment building is scheduled for fall 2019.
When completed, the Andermatt Swiss Alps resort or Andermatt Reuss vacation village will comprise around 500 apartments in 42 buildings, 28 chalets, congress facilities, an indoor swimming pool and an 18-hole golf course. In addition, there will be six hotels in the four- and five-star range, including the five-star deluxe hotel The Chedi. In addition, the Andermatt and Sedrun ski areas will be merged to form the SkiArena Andermatt- Sedrun. (ah)
