Altdorf: Building application for UKB service building
The Cantonal Bank of Uri (UKB) is planning a service center at Bahnhofplatz 1 in Altdorf that can also be used by third parties. The plans are currently open to the public.
UKB's six-story service center will replace the old SBB reception building and the Hotel Bahnhof. UKB itself plans to set up a customer zone on part of the first floor and offices and meeting rooms on the floors above. For the remaining part of the 7,000 sqm floor space, UKB is looking for "a suitable and attractive mix of tenants." The first interested parties are already in place, but the actual marketing is not scheduled to start until summer 2019, once the building permit has been issued.
The first floor of the building is to serve as a multifunctional hub and is aimed at bank, rail and bus customers, but also tourists, commuters and passers-by. Under the leadership of the client UKB, several partners and experts are currently discussing what such an offer could look like in terms of space, content and organization, the bank says.
The building application for the service center was submitted at the beginning of September, and the construction profiles were installed from September 18, 2018. With the publication of the building application on September 21, 2018, the 20-day planning period began at the municipality of Altdorf. The building permit can therefore be expected from January 2019. If everything goes according to plan, construction should start at the end of 2019. (ah)
