Priora plans large residential and hotel project in Biel
Priora wants to build a residential complex with a hotel on the former wire works site in the Bözingen district of Biel. The building application is to be submitted shortly.

The "hoch hinaus" project by Sollberger Bögli Architekten from Biel is to be realized on the plot at the exit of the Taubenloch gorge. It envisages two buildings: a tall residential tower in the northern part of the site and a lower hotel building parallel along the Schüss. The Ibis brand hotel will have 85 rooms on three floors. The high-rise building will be 55 meters high, housing 69 rental apartments on 19 floors. An underground parking garage is also planned.
The clever placement of the buildings creates an encounter zone, while at the same time accentuating and redesigning the entrance to Taubenlochschlucht.
According to Priora, the building application for the project will be submitted in mid-October, at the same time the building permit will be issued. The building permit is expected at the beginning of 2019, and the buildings should be ready for occupation in spring 2021. (ah)
