Zurich: Foundation stone laid for West-Log
The foundation stone for the West-Log logistics building was laid in Zurich-Altstetten. The investor is Swiss Prime Site, and the main tenant will be Elektro-Material AG.
The West-Log is being built in the immediate vicinity of the Zurich-Altstetten train station and streetcar line 4. It is separated from the railroad tracks on the south side by Vulkanstrasse; on the north side, the industrial site is bordered by Juchstrasse.
West-Log will comprise around 21,000 sqm of net floor space and will be used as a logistics building and corporate headquarters after its completion in 2020.
Swiss Prime Site Immobilien acquired the project in July from the construction company Implenia, which is realizing the new building. The Zurich office of Felix Partner is responsible for the design and implementation planning. The main tenant is Elektro-Material AG. The wholesaler will locate its new company headquarters in the building. (ah)
