Schaffhausen: Groundbreaking ceremony for Steiner Invest project
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Gloggeguet residential development was held in Schaffhausen on Thursday. Almost 100 residential units are being built in five apartment buildings.
The residential development is being built in the Herblingen neighborhood to the northeast of Schaffhausen's old town. The project was developed by Steiner AG and includes the construction of five new apartment buildings with a total of 27 rental apartments and 71 condominiums. In addition, a 16th-century manor house worthy of protection, which is located on the site, will be renovated. The building will house a day nursery.
The Steiner Investment Foundation has acquired the parcel including the project. Work on the five apartment buildings is expected to begin in November, according to a statement from the investment foundation. Construction is estimated to take two years, with a completion value of around CHF 70 million. (ah)
