Zurich: Start of construction for IntercityHotel at the airport
Construction of the IntercityHotel Zürich Airport begins at the airport in Zurich. It is the brand's first hotel in Switzerland.
The new Intercity Hotel Zürich Airport is being built near the Rümlang train station and not far from the A1 highway. The airport can be reached in 10 minutes and the city center in 15 minutes.
The first IntercityHotel in Switzerland will have around 260 rooms, a restaurant and a bar.

The project was designed by the architectural firm Suter+Renner from Küssnacht. The investor and developer is Necron AG, based in Zug. Deutsche Hospitality has also concluded a lease agreement for the hotel with them, and further projects are reportedly in the planning stage.
