Intershop plans superstructure in Wädenswil
Intershop wants to build a residential and commercial development in Wädenswil (ZH). The revised design plan for the AuPark project has now been approved.

The AuPark site - also known as the Alcatel site or AuCenter site - is located in the Au-Wädenswil district between the Au peninsula and adjacent residential areas to the rear. Intershop plans to build a development of around 200 apartments with supplementary neighborhood amenities and commercial space. In addition, the site is to become the location of a cantonal school with an assembly hall, refectory and two gymnasiums. A publicly accessible park with a playground is also planned.
Because several objections were received when the AuPark private design plan was made available to the public a good year ago, Intershop, as the landowner, made significant adjustments to the project.
Above all, the building height was limited to a maximum of 25 meters; high-rise buildings are now explicitly excluded from the site. Measured from the ground level, the building heights of the guideline project are between 13 and 23 meters due to the slope of the site. The utilization factor on the site has also been reduced from 140 to 133 percent. The proportion of affordable housing was increased from 12.5 to 20 percent. According to a statement by the municipality of Wädenswil, this corresponds to 50 to 60 apartments. (ah)
