UBS Direct Residential acquired the 4,789 sqm site of the former Haslimärt including the village square in the center of Niederhasli in 2010. The property is located next to the municipal administration, several shopping facilities are nearby, and the train station is within short walking distance.

Instead of the existing building from 1985, the fund wants to redevelop the area. The aim is to strengthen the public character of the village square and to increase the supply of housing and greenery on the site, writes the fund management in the UBS newsletter. ImmoUpdate. For this purpose, the neighboring parcel owned by the municipality with 561 sqm is to be acquired.

In a first stage, the northern half of the site is to be developed with three identical residential buildings. Fifty-one apartments with 2.5 and 3.5 rooms are planned. In the second stage, a residential and commercial building is planned.

According to the fund management, the land purchase agreement will be signed in the 4th quarter of 2018, and demolition work is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2019. The investment volume amounts to around 32 million. (ah)
