Berne: Migros announces changes in wave 7
Migros Aare has announced changes to its Welle 7 retail concept at Bern station. In spring, the fast food chain KFC and Asia Gourmet will open branches there, but other shops will close.

For KFC, Welle 7 is the second, for Asia Gourmet the first location in Switzerland, Migros Aare informs. The two companies will open their stores on Deck 2 in late spring and early summer of this year, respectively, and the former locations of The Fitting Room and Goodie will be converted for this purpose. As of the end of December, yogurt bar Yogurtlandia has left Deck 2. Until KFC takes over, pop-up stores will use the space, according to Migros.
The operator is not yet satisfied with the frequency on decks 0 and 1 of Welle 7, where changes are also planned. Deck 0 is to be partially repositioned over the coming months, Migros says. Alternative uses are currently being examined. According to the cooperative, there are a number of potential tenants, from the service industry, the health sector to special providers in the retail sector as interim uses.
The hairdressing salon Only Hair will move from deck 0 to deck 1, the Naturkostbar and Alfon's Blumenmarkt will close at the end of 2018. The Massage Lounge will also be leaving Welle 7 at the end of January, when the Express branch of Melectronics will also close. Only the Washbar and Zur Rose will remain on deck 0.
Migros Aare had opened Welle 7 in August 2016. At that time, it was said that the center was to be established with the new retail concept within five years. (ah)
