Basel: Laying of the foundation stone for the final stage at CityGate
The foundation stones for the last two CityGate buildings have been laid on the former Miba site between the SBB train station and St. Jakob Park in Basel.

Apartments, commercial space and a hotel are being built on the previously unused construction sites A and B of the CityGate site:
A ten-story building with 117 rental apartments, including commercial space, designed by the well-known Basel architectural firm Morger Partner, will be constructed on Building Plot A. The Patrimonium Investment Foundation is the building owner. A twelve-story residential and commercial building with 78 apartments and a 137-room hotel is being built on Baufeld B. The building is designed by SSA. It was designed by SSA Architekten; the client is the Patrimonium Swiss Real Estate Fund.
Halter AG Gesamtleistungen from Münchenstein is responsible for project development and realization, while Adimmo is in charge of property management and marketing.
The CityGate area is characterized by a convenient location - the slip road to the highway as well as the streetcar stop with a fast connection to the city center are in the immediate vicinity - yet the buildings will be surrounded by greenery after completion: After completion of the construction work, the area surrounding the site will be planted with young trees and bushes.
