Schaffhausen gets first Hampton by Hilton in Switzerland
Switzerland's first Hampton by Hilton brand hotel is set to open in Schaffhausen in 2021. Hilton has signed a franchise agreement with HRMP Schaffhausen AG.
According to a statement from the hotel chain, the Hampton by Hilton will have 112 rooms and will be located on Industriestrasse in Herblingen Business Park, around 200 meters from Herblingen train station. The Lipo-Arena of the FC Schaffhausen football club and the adjacent Schaffhausen Center are within walking distance of the hotel.
The hotel was developed by the company Methabau from Amriswil (TG), which also realized the new football stadium with shell use as co-investor and total contractor. Among others, the Lipo furniture store, a Clever Fit fitness center and the coworking provider Regus have settled in the shell use.
Schaffhausen has excellent transport links and is a commercial center for international companies in the region, such as UBS, IWC Schaffhausen and Georg Fischer, says Patrick Fitzgibbon, Senior Vice President Development EMEA. The hotel should help to meet the growing demand for high-quality and affordable accommodation for business travelers and tourists.
The Hampton by Hilton in Schaffhausen will be the chain's fourth hotel in Switzerland after the Hilton Zurich Airport, the Hilton Garden Inn Davos and the soon-to-open Hilton Garden Inn Zurich Limmattal. (ah)
