Three new buildings and extensions with a net floor area of around 45,000 sqm are to be built around the Maxx cinema on Seetalplatz in Emmen. A mix of uses is planned, including apartments, offices and stores, gastronomy and leisure facilities. The public parking garage is to remain in place. The total investment volume is estimated at CHF 170 million.

The development, called 4Viertel, is a joint project of Viscosuisse Immobilien and the CS 1a Immo PK investment fund of Credit Suisse. The project developer is Alfred Müller AG from Baar, while Brandenberger+Ruosch from Lucerne is acting as the building owner's representative. The architecture is by the Lucerne office of Lussi & Partner.

The urban planning committee has already approved the plans for the project, and the building application is now before the municipality of Emmen for review. The building permit is expected in the fall of this year. Groundbreaking could then take place in the first quarter of 2020. (ah)
