According to local media, the project envisages the construction of 43 semi-detached and terraced single-family houses and an underground car park in the northwest of Burgdorf. The buildings will be constructed on an area of around 14,500 square meters, which was formerly the site of the artificial ice rink. The "Burgermatt, Chli u Gross" development is to be built to the Minergie standard; it is located in the immediate vicinity of the River Emme and about one kilometer from Burgdorf train station.
The land is given by the Burgergemeinde in building rights. The builder is the general contractor Kühni from Ramsei. The real estate service provider Lubana is responsible for marketing.
The building permit is expected by mid-2020, and the first houses should be ready for occupancy in the fall of 2021. (ah)
