Siemens Switzerland has built a new office building at Theilerstrasse 1a, directly adjacent to Zug train station, in which a total of around 4,000 sqm of space will be leased. SPG Intercity Zurich was commissioned with the marketing. Just under 1,000 sqm has been leased to Arena Pharmaceuticals Development. The pharmaceutical company has previously been based on Gotthardstrasse and will move into the new space on June 1, 2019. The US company employs around 200 people globally, 20 of whom work at the Swiss site.

A further 2,000 sqm have been leased to a listed medical technology company, which plans to move into the space on September 1, 2019. SPG Intercity says it is in talks with other interested parties for the remaining 1,000 sqm.

The office property is part of the Siemens campus in Zug, which was completed last year. It includes a new, seven-story headquarters with 18,000 square meters of space and a three-story production hall. A climate laboratory shared with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is also housed on the campus. (ah)
