According to the city council, 60 objections have been received to the Ensemble project, which HRS Real Estate, Credit Suisse real estate investment vehicles and Allgemeine Baugenossenschaft Zürich (ABZ) want to realize. They mainly concerned the issues of high-rise buildings and open space.
In addition to the new football stadium for 18,000 spectators, a non-profit residential development with around 174 apartments and two residential and commercial high-rise buildings with around 570 apartments are planned for the site. Three public squares are also planned.
The private design plan now creates the legal planning requirements for the realization of the project. According to the city council, it was necessary due to the height of the two planned high-rise buildings. In addition, the complex requirements of a football stadium in terms of development and proof of environmental compatibility required in-depth clarification. (ah)
