St. Gallen: Groundbreaking for neudorf-center.ch
Fortimo Invest celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the neudorf-center.ch commercial building, which is being built not far from the St. Gallen-Neudorf freeway entrance.
The existing building of the Jumbo DIY store at Rorschacherstrasse 286 is being renovated, topped up and its appearance adapted to the new building planned directly next door. Different office and retail spaces will be created. According to Fortimo Invest, showrooms and sales areas are conceivable, for example, and in the office area coworking spaces and flexible office concepts as well as workplaces with business services and pay-per-use models.
The first tenants for the neudorf-center.ch have already been determined; however, Fortimo will not disclose details until the contracts have been signed. The company only announced that part of the space will be used by a large health practice, and that a fitness center and a coffee/restaurant are also to move in. The new commercial building is located not far from the St. Gallen-Neudorf highway entrance and has a bus and Postbus stop directly in front of the building.
The property was already transferred to Fortimo Invest in summer 2017. Originally, there was an approved project that only envisaged a gentle renovation of the building and a new building directly next to it. The project was revised and expanded - among other things, Fortimo wants to move its headquarters to the development - and approved in July 2018. (ah)
