How first the online portal htr.ch reported, the new Golf Resort La Gruyère is to become the first property of the Hyatt brand Alila in Europe. The centerpiece of the resort will be a five-star hotel with 85 rooms, 27 hotel residences, a 3,000-square-meter spa and three restaurants.

According to the report of htr.ch the project is part of a development plan approved by the Fribourg authorities in 2013. The building permit for the Les Belles Rives residences was issued in 2016, and the groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for September 2019. The approval process for the Castelrives residence is currently underway, with construction work scheduled to begin next spring.

The building permit application for the hotel complex is to be submitted in the summer. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2023.

Behind the project is according to a report by Bilan.ch the investment company Ben Golf Investissements. The Chinese entrepreneur YongJun Li holds 50% of the capital and the French company Soviar 30%. Soviar is the holding company of the Benedetti family, which is active in the construction and golf business. The remaining 20% are held by the initiators of the project Urs and Martine Müller. (ah)
