As the online newspaper "Die Ostschweiz" reports with reference to recently published changes in ownership in St. Gallen, Raiffeisen has sold several properties in the economic centre of eastern Switzerland. Raiffeisen has sold the former headquarters of Bank Wegelin at Bohl 17, directly opposite the Waaghaus, which has since been used by the Notenstein private bank and Bank Vontobel, to Credit Suisse. It is not yet known what Credit Suisse intends to do with the former Wegelin headquarters. Raffeisen has also sold properties on the directly adjacent Schwertgasse, including the former Non olet restaurant and an adjoining residential and commercial building, to the political municipality of St. Gallen.
