Zug: "Freiruum" opens on Landis&Gyr site
There is now an interim use for the Shedhallen on the former LG site in Zug: "Freiruum" opened in August.
In the middle of the city of Zug on the site of the former Landis&Gyr, the "Freiruum" opened in August in the old shed halls: On 7,600 square meters, a market hall now offers numerous food and market stalls as well as shopping and workshop opportunities. Furthermore, there is a sports hall with a trampoline area and a bouldering facility as well as an event hall designed for 1,700 people for private and public events.
The operator is Kanton27 AG, a subsidiary of the live-marketing agency Pointbreak. According to the Zug-based real estate service provider Advendis, which has been commissioned with the marketing, the interim use will last until at least 2022.
The land owner is the Credit Suisse 1a Immo PK real estate fund. The fund management sees a lot of development potential for an attractive Zug district on the former LG site: a new central city district for living and working is to be created here from 2023. (bw)
