Zug: Plans presented for Switzerland's tallest wooden skyscraper
On Baarerstrasse in Zug, V-Zug Immobilien is planning an 80-meter-high residential high-rise made of wood. This would make the building the tallest wooden high-rise in Switzerland.
V-Zug Immobilien wants to realize the Pi project at Baarerstrasse 104-108, a project by Duplex Architekten, engineers WaltGalmarini and Implenia. The 80-meter-high building will contain affordable apartments. The aim is to create socially mixed neighborhoods and to promote coexistence by clustering meeting places and communal spaces on each floor.
In the construction project, the company is also trying to replace building materials with high CO2 emissions in the load-bearing structure and the interior spaces with wood, according to V-Zug Immobilien.
