Zurich: Allreal refurbishes commercial building for 50 million
Allreal plans to extensively renovate the six-story commercial building at Bellerivestrasse 36 in Zurich Riesbach. A project by the Danish architecture studio C.F. Møller will be implemented.

Built in 1974, the commercial building at Bellerivestrasse 36 in the Seefeld district has been part of Allreal's portfolio of investment properties since 2004. When the leases expire in 2021, the property, which has just under 12,000 square meters of leasable space, is to be modernized. In addition, the company plans to set up a publicly accessible garden restaurant on the first floor directly on the shores of Lake Zurich.
In spring 2019, the real estate company conducted a study commission, and in September 2019, the jury recommended the project by C.F. Møller for further development. The winning project is visually characterized by a contemporary and representative appearance with an opening and orientation toward the lake, Allreal said. By using modern technologies and materials in the refurbishment, the commercial building will also become a "showpiece in terms of energy". The investment volume is CHF 50 million.
According to Allreal, the building application is planned for next spring. Depending on the approval process, construction will begin the following year. The modernized commercial building is scheduled to go into operation in spring 2023. (ah)
