Zurich: Start of construction for C1 in Manegg Mitte
With the laying of the foundation stone, construction work has now officially begun on the C1 property in Manegg Mitte. As a total contractor, Steiner is realizing a residential and commercial building for BEP.
The Building Cooperative of the Swiss Federal Personnel BEP is having an eight-storey new building constructed on Allmendstrasse with sub-project C1. The building will comprise 101 cooperative apartments with 2.5 to 5.5 rooms. Meeting rooms and commercial space will also be created on the ground floor. Construction is scheduled for completion by 2022.
In addition to the C1, the Manegg Mitte development also includes 151 condominiums in two other buildings, which are being marketed by Steiner under the name "Sihlterrassen".
The former industrial site of Manegg in the south of the city is considered one of the last major development areas in the city of Zurich. The newly emerging quarter is connected to public transport via the S4 of the Sihltal-Zurich-Uetliberg railway. Greencity and Sihlbogen are located in the immediate vicinity. (ah)
