Basel: Weltbild rents on Freie Strasse
Weltbild Verlag is opening a branch on Freie Strasse in Basel next year. SPG Intercity Zurich leased the store on behalf of the owner.
The retail space brokered by SPG Intercity Zurich is 220 square meters in size, plus just under 100 square meters of storage space. It is located in the Freie Strasse 45 property, where Weltbild Verlag is expected to open its new branch in February 2020. Until now, the company has been located at Steinenvorstadt 27.
The new location is directly on Basel's busy main shopping street and is therefore ideal for a store with a lot of walk-in customers, according to SPG Intercity Zurich. The neighborhood is already home to numerous international brand stores and other service providers.
Weltbild Verlag sells books, ebooks, movies, and music, as well as a wide range of gifts and decorative items. In addition to an online store, the company operates a total of 29 stores. (ah)
