Savognin: ITW plans 200-bed hotel

The Liechtenstein group of companies ITW wants to build a four-star hotel with 200 beds in Savognin (GR).

ITW from Liechtenstein plans to invest CHF 19 million in the house, which will be operated by the Jufa Group from Austria.

The hotel is to have 75 rooms with around 200 beds. A restaurant open to the public, a public wellness area, hotel fitness and seminar rooms, and a children's play area are also planned. ITW wants to position the hotel as a sports and family hotel in the four-star range.

The hotel will according to a media report developed, planned and realized by the Bündner Uffer AG as total contractor. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for this December, with the official opening planned for late fall 2021. ITW and Jufa have concluded a lease agreement for a period of 25 years.

Meanwhile, ITW is planning a second hotel in Switzerland: a health hotel combined with the new Klinik Gut is to be built in St. Moritz.

Most recently, the company reopened the mineral spa in St. Margrethen (SG). Here, the Group says it has invested 30 million in a new building and a parking garage. A hotel is also to be built at this site soon, it says.

ITW is also realizing the Swiss InnoQube in Chur for 30 million, an innovation center with 300 workplaces on an area of 9,000 sqm. (ah)
