Ebikon buys the Löwen site from Baloise
The municipality of Ebikon (LU) takes over the Löwen site in the historic center from Baloise for CHF 2.61 million.

According to the municipality of Ebikon, the purchase agreement for the site was signed "after long negotiations" with Baloise Immobilien Management at the beginning of February. On October 1, 2020, the benefits and damages are to be transferred to the municipality of Ebikon.
With the purchase of the property in the historic center, the municipal council is securing long-term freedom of action in center planning, the statement continues. The municipal council has been looking into the future and development possibilities of the site since 2013. In the fall of 2018, it secured a right of first refusal.
Until a concept for the center design and new development has been worked out, the property with the former Löwen restaurant is to be used temporarily. The municipal council wants to work out possible scenarios with the commission for social issues and then decide on a temporary rental or utility loan model. (ah)
