Basel: Steiner project can be realised

Steiner AG has received the building permit for a residential development in Basel's St. Johann district. A new building with 15 condominiums is being constructed on an inner courtyard site.

The Landskronhof residential complex is a five-story building with 2.5- to 5.5-room condominiums. First occupancy is planned for spring 2022. Eight of the 15 residential units have already been sold or reserved, according to Steiner AG.

The development is being built on an inner courtyard area that was previously used for garages and parking spaces. It is thus "a prime example of internal densification in urban centres", writes Steiner AG in a statement. A residential complex has already been approved on the site. The project, which is now being realised, has been "further developed and optimised" with HHF Architekten and a team of specialist planners.

The Landskronhof is a few minutes' walk from the Kannenfeldpark. Basel city centre, the railway station and the EuroAirport can be reached quickly by public transport. A motorway connection is also nearby. (ah)
