Zurich City Council has issued a building permit, subject to numerous conditions, for the new development planned in Brunaupark, a project by the Credit Suisse pension fund. The pension fund wants to replace large parts of its residential and commercial development located in Wiedikon, Zurich's District 3: 240 apartments are to make way for nearly 500 new units. Four of the residential buildings and the shopping center with the Migros store will be demolished.

Construction is to take place in two stages - from 2021 to 2023 and from 2024 to 2026. However, there could be delays: According to regional media reports, IG Wohnen in der Laubegg has already announced an appeal against the building permit. The Zurich Tenants' Association is expecting further appeals from residents and environmental associations. (bw)
