Repositioning for the property at Nidaugasse 48 in Biel/Bienne

The Schild fashion chain, the main tenant of the building at Nidaugasse 48, will vacate the premises in summer 2020. The building will then be put to new uses.

SPG Intercity Zurich received two mandates for the property at Nidaugasse 48, located on Biel's main shopping street: from the previous owner, who wanted to sell the building, and subsequently from the new owner. First, the real estate consulting firm was commissioned with the sale of the prominent property and was able to sell it in a co-mandate to the Bernese real estate company Hess Real Estates AG. Subsequently, the buyer exclusively commissioned SPG Intercity with the repositioning and marketing of the property.

After the departure of the Schild fashion chain, which is currently the sole tenant of the building except for some office space, scheduled for summer 2020, retail space on the ground floor as well as office space and 2.5-room apartments are now planned. At the beginning of the year, SPG Intercity Zurich was able to secure a telecoms company for the ground floor; the total rental space amounts to around 330 sqm. (bw)
