The Läbe residential project in Burgereziel comprises 101 apartments as well as a daycare center, a mixed-age school class (basic level) and a neighborhood restaurant. The neighborhood representative Quav4 will also set up its office in the development, and the anchor tenant in the commercial section is Migros, which will open a branch on the first floor; other stores are also planned. One third of the living space is reserved for non-profit housing.

The client is Gebäudeversicherung Bern (GVB) together with the wbg8 cooperative, and the development and total contractor is Losinger Marazzi.

The development will be built to the Minergie-Eco standard and has already been certified as a 2,000-watt site. The project will have solar panels and geothermal probes and is to be heated in a completely CO2-neutral manner. The construction phase is expected to take about two years, and the space is expected to be ready for occupancy by November 1, 2022. (ah)
