Aadorf: Foundation stone laid for new Griesser AG building

Griesser AG, which produces sun and weather protection for windows and terraces, is undertaking major conversion and expansion work at its headquarters in Aadorf. After construction work began in June 2020, the foundation stone for the second construction phase was laid on 23 September. This will involve the demolition of an old hall and the construction of a new hall with a new coating system, as well as an extension to a neighbouring hall where long materials are stored.

In the third construction phase, a powder coating plant is to be installed in the new building and a honeycomb warehouse is to be built into the hall extension next door. 

With the new building, Griesser is implementing a photovoltaic system which, according to the company, will cover around 10% of the electricity requirements at its headquarters in the future. If everything goes according to plan, the construction project will be completed by summer 2021. (ah)
