Realisation of room 5 in Steffisburg begins
The Raum 5 business park is being built in the Aarefeld business park in Steffisburg (BE). Implementation of construction volume 1 has now begun.
In December 2019, the basic development Aarefeld was inaugurated, now the realization of the high-rise buildings of the commercial area Aarefeld room 5 starts. The municipality of Steffisburg, HRS Investment AG / HRS Real Estate AG and an anchor tenant have started a preliminary project for the construction volume 1.
BKW Energie AG is planning a new central plant on the site, and community president Jürg Marti expects the settlement to attract other companies "so that the greatest possible synergy effect can be achieved". The site is the largest available commercial area in the region.
Submission of the building application is planned for the second quarter of 2021; the execution phase is scheduled to begin in 2022 - in parallel with the reconstruction of the BLS Steffisburg station and the detailed access road. Construction volume 1 should be ready for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2023, by which time the modernization of the station will also be completed. (ah)
