For the Floating Gardens project, Steiner AG launched a study contract with four architectural firms, which was won by the Zurich firm Wild Bär Heule.

Two buildings with 14 freehold apartments (3.5 to 5.5 rooms) are planned, two of which will be attic apartments. The buildings border the Friedbachtobel to the north, the Edenpark development to the south and the agricultural zone to the west, or - a little further down - the apartment buildings on Meisenbergstrasse.

According to Steiner AG, the aim of the development is not simply to close a gap in the building on a slope, but also to fulfil the promise of a careful architectural design. Special features of the facades are balconies, loggias and terraces, which are designed as hanging gardens and gave the project its name. In addition, the architects have paid particular attention to the surrounding and open space design: The planned greenery with perennial fences, flower meadows and high trunk trees is intended to integrate naturally into the slope.

The building application to the city of Zug was submitted at the end of September 2020, Steiner AG announced. (ah)
