According to Accor, the franchise agreements for the Mövenpick Hotel & Resort Disentis and the Mövenpick Living Disentis apartment complex have already been signed. The opening is planned for 2024.

The project will span six buildings. The hotel and apartment complex will be located in two separate building units connected by an underground walkway. Plans call for a total of 150 guest rooms, 91 exclusive residential units, several restaurants and breakfast areas, a bar and children's playground, and a 435-square-meter spa and fitness area, including a pool, sauna and gym. For meetings and events, a 440-square-meter banquet hall, two flexible conference rooms and three meeting rooms of 30 square meters each will be created.

The developer and operator of the new site in Disentis is Immo Invest Partner AG. It has acquired the site of Acla da Fontauna, which has been closed since 2002, in order to build and operate a new resort hotel there.

Mövenpick currently operates five hotels in Switzerland: in Geneva, Egerkingen, Lausanne, at Zurich Airport and in Regensdorf. Openings are imminent in Basel and Savognin. Disentis will be the brand's eighth property. (ah)
