Zurich: Swiss Life buys the Witikon centre
The Migros Zurich cooperative sells the Witikon center to Swiss Life, but remains a long-term tenant in the center.

The Migros Zurich Cooperative (GMZ) acquired the Witikon center in 2012 and completely renovated it in 2017. The decision to sell was made as part of a regular review of the real estate portfolio, GMZ says. According to GMZ, the sale marks the end of a process that has taken several years to streamline the property portfolio. The parties have agreed not to disclose the sale price.
Even after the change of ownership, Migros will continue to be present in the center as a tenant, the GMZ says. This is contractually guaranteed for several decades. The Migros supermarket branch has existed since the center opened in 1970. (bw/ah)
