The reason for the sale of the property at Bahnhofstrasse 1 and the von Roll house in Altdorf as well as the properties in Erstfeld, Flüelen and Schattdorf is a focus on the core business, writes Urner Kantonalbank UKB in a statement. The new service building at Bahnhofplatz 1 in Altdorf and the Andermatt branch will be retained for strategic reasons.

According to UKB, the properties were sold as part of the bidding process, and around 30 institutional investors were contacted locally and throughout Switzerland. According to the cantonal bank, it was important for the decision to sell to conclude long-term rental agreements with the new owner.

Even after the sale to Tellco Investment Foundation, UKB will continue to provide its existing services on site at the existing premises in Schattdorf, Flüelen and Erstfeld. The bank also emphasizes that the branch office, the safe deposit room and the 24-hour zone with video service option will continue to be available at Bahnhofstrasse 1 in Altdorf. The locations in Andermatt and Bürglen are not affected by the changes. (ah)
