Horw: Student residence directly opposite the campus in planning
A new building with 20 student apartments is planned on Technikumstrasse in Horw (LU), directly opposite the Horw university campus.
As can be seen from the building application currently open to the public, the construction of a new student residence is planned at Technikumstrasse 16 between two existing apartment buildings. The two-story building will house 20 studios (22-25 square meters). The new residential building will be located directly opposite Tract 5 of the campus.
The client is the Einfache Gesellschaft Steinen with its registered office in Horw, and the designer is SHB Architekten GmbH from Lucerne.
The background to the project is the renovation and expansion of the Horw campus: by 2029, the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Lucerne University of Teacher Education are to be united under one roof there. The planning competition for this major project is currently underway. (ah)
