Dielsdorf: Green builds second data center campus
Green Data Center AG is planning to build the 46,000 sqm Zurich Metro Campus in Dielsdorf. Three high-density data centers, a business park and integrated green zones are planned.
With the new CHF 500 million major project in Dielsdorf (ZH), Green Data Center AG will be the first Swiss provider to operate two fully developed locations for cloud providers in Switzerland in the future: the Zurich West Campus in Lupfig and soon the Zurich Metro Campus in Dielsdorf. The campus, whose construction will begin in the first quarter of 2021, will cover 46,000 square meters. Completion of the first data center is planned for the first quarter of 2022.
In addition to the three data centers, three office buildings, commercial areas, green zones and a direct link to public transport are being built on the site. The campus can be easily reached from Zurich within 15 to 20 minutes. Usable commercial and office space totaling 11,000 square meters will be available for the settlement of various companies and Green's specialist staff for operational data center operations.
