Regensdorf: Study contract for Plazza project decided
Plazza AG wants to build a residential and commercial development on its site in the Bahnhof Nord center area in Regensdorf (ZH). A project by Michael Meier Marius Hug Architekten is to be implemented.
The area Bahnhof Nord in Regensdorf, which covers a total of 20 hectares, is to be gradually developed from the current industrial and commercial area into an attractive, urban quarter with residential and commercial areas by 2040. As one of the various landowners involved, Plazza owns a plot of land with an area of 17,518 sqm at Althardstrasse 5 + 9.
A study commission with five planning teams was carried out for the site, and the jury unanimously decided in favor of the project by Michael Meier Marius Hug Architekten and recommended it for further development. The project is now to be optimized and then form the basis for the design plan. According to Plazza, construction is not expected to begin before 2024. The development is to have a residential component of 75% and a commercial component of 25%, Plazza said. (ah)
