Locarno: Globus to close at the end of 2022

The Corona pandemic and the increasing shift to online retailing are not without impact on Globus' brick-and-mortar presence in Switzerland, the company says. At the same time, locations in less large urban centers are coming under considerable pressure due to Globus' realignment and focus on the premium segment.
For this reason, the expiring lease for the department store at Largo Franco Zorzi 6 in Locarno will not be continued as of the end of December 2022. As early as Easter 2021, the Department store to continue as an outlet, Globus added.
