Basel: Shell of the Werkarena stands
The topping-out ceremony for the "Werkarena" business park in the north of Basel has been celebrated. The business complex developed and realized by Steiner AG is scheduled to be ready for occupancy from fall 2021.
Steiner AG is building the Werkarena in the development area to the north of Basel, close to the border and the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse as well as the A3 freeway.
A special feature of the concept is that the property has storage, office and production areas. The Werkarena provides access to commercial floors with a ramp system for vans, and tenants can also share office, meeting and conference rooms. The upper four floors of the complex are intended for startups and SMEs looking to expand their network or find a place for inspiration and exchange. Part of the Werkarena is the Gewerbe- und Businesspark, which is operated by the Basel-Stadt trade association and Businessparc Reinach.
The Werkarena is an initiative of the Basel-Stadt trade association, Immobilien Basel-Stadt, Businessparc Reinach, Steiner AG, Smeyers AG and Picard Angst AG, as well as other large companies. Construction began in the fall of 2019. (ah)
