The site at Tribschenstrasse 54/56 is currently occupied by unattractive commercial buildings and parking spaces, but according to plans by CSA Real Estate Switzerland Commercial, an investment group of Credit Suisse Investment Foundation and owner of the site since 2010, this will soon change. Together with HRS Real Estate, a residential development is to be built according to plans by Zurich-based Caruso St John Architects in cooperation with landscape architects Antón Landschaft.

The Lou project comprises around 147 rental apartments and residential studios, with most of the apartments offering between 1.5 and 2.5 rooms. The majority of the apartments are deliberately being kept small, according to Credit Suisse Investment Foundation, in order to meet the current demand for urban living. In addition, around 43 high-quality 3.5 and 4.5-bedroom apartments are planned. A retail store is to move in on the ground floor. Parking spaces are available in an underground garage.

The building application for Lou was submitted in March 2021, and the building application is now being made public. Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2022. The apartments and retail space should be ready for occupation from autumn 2024. (ah)
