New owner for Bern airport hotel
A consortium of investors has bought the vacant airport hotel in Belp from the city of Bern. The property is to be renovated.

C+H Flughafen Gastro AG, backed by Hans-Ulrich Müller and Christian Müller, has acquired the airport hotel including the ground plot for a price of CHF 1.13 million, according to the city of Bern. The seller, the Fonds für Boden- und Wohnbaupolitik, has at the same time taken over a directly adjacent land area of the same size from Flughafen Bern AG. It will in turn transfer this to the airport company in building rights.
The brothers Hans-Ulrich Müller and Christian Müller want to completely renovate the vacant building and reopen it as a hotel and restaurant in about two years. In recent years, Hans-Ulrich Müller has repeatedly acquired and developed properties in the canton of Bern. There is also an emotional attachment to the airport hotel: The Müller family ran the house as tenants for a long time after the war. (ah)
