Two high-rise residential buildings for the Papieri site in Cham
Two high-rise residential buildings and a commercial building are planned for the Papieri site in Cham as part of the second construction phase. The building applications for the residential buildings have now been submitted.
The two high-rise residential buildings that the Cham Group intends to tackle are the projects in construction areas I and K in the center of the Papieri site. Huggenbergerfries Architekten from Zurich (construction area I) and the office Konstrukt from Lucerne (construction area K) have designed and planned the buildings.
According to the Cham Group, the two high-rise residential buildings will comprise a total of 61 condominiums and 36 rental apartments (2.5 to 5.5 rooms) as well as 62 microapartments, which will be rented out as furnished micro-apartments on a medium- to long-term basis. Commercial space for the general public is planned on the first floors, and one of the largest daycare centers in the Cham municipality is scheduled to open in the summer of 2024. An operator from the region has already been found for this, the Cham Group continues. Between the buildings, Siloplatz will be created, which is intended to become an attractive recreational area on the site.
The planning documents for the two building applications are currently open to the public. Construction is scheduled to start in summer 2022, and the residential buildings should be ready for occupancy two years later. In addition, the structural work of the first construction phase is to be completed in the fall of this year. (ah)
