Basel: Arena Cinemas open Megaplex in Stücki Park
Arena Cinemas opens a megaplex cinema with 14 screens and a bowling center in Stücki Park in Basel.
On July 2, Arena Cinemas launched at Stücki Park in Basel-Kleinhünigen, a megaplex with 14 movie theaters with a capacity of 60 to 447 seats. The cinema offers, among other things, an auditorium with 4DX technology and a so-called ScreenX auditorium with a 270-degree projection system. 70 screenings per day are planned. Admission prices are to be between CHF 8 and CHF 10 - thus Arena Cinemas is not orienting itself to the level of other cinemas in Basel, but to the lower prices in neighboring Germany.
Arena Cinemas is also opening a bowling center in Stücki Park with 14 bowling lanes, a bar area and a large games area with billiards, darts and ball games. The company occupies two floors in the property, which is owned by Swiss Prime Site and operated by Wincasa. (ah)
