Three apartment buildings with around 90 rental and owner-occupied apartments, as well as a commercial component at street level, are to be built on the approximately 4,000 sqm plot north of Aarau's old town. According to a Steiner statement, a historic building worthy of protection that is located on the property will be incorporated into the project. Open space and recreational areas are also planned.

Steiner and Swica now want to jointly carry out a study commission. The project will then be drawn up and submitted for approval. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2023, and the development should be ready for occupancy by the end of 2025.

The site is within walking distance of the historic centre of Aarau; in urban planning terms, the development project aims to expand the inner city area to the north and further enhance the Scheibenschachen district. Steiner has already completed two major residential developments in the area in recent years. (ah)
