Bern: Topping-out ceremony at the Gangloff site
The topping-out ceremony has been held for the new residential and commercial building on the Gangloff site in Bern. 180 residential units and 2,500 sqm of commercial space are being built.
The new building in the Gangloff area consists of three interconnected building parts: An eight-storey tower in the west, a lying structure in the north with seven storeys and a four-storey angular building in the south and east. On the upper floors, 9,600 sqm are reserved for residential use: 178 high-quality apartments and two studios will be created. The approximately 2,500 sqm of commercial space will be used for retail and services. The building will be certified according to the Minergie standard.
Gangloff Immobilien AG has commissioned Porr Suisse as general contractor to construct the building. The investor is the Bernische Pensionskasse (BPK). The new building should be ready for occupancy from 2022. (ah)
