According to Plazza, the last remaining appeal against the project in Crissier has been withdrawn, making the building permit already in place legally binding. In the fourth quarter of this year, the real estate company intends to start construction on the first stage of the project. According to the company, this will comprise around two-thirds of the overall project and have an investment volume of up to CHF 220 million.
The development area covers an area of around 67,000 square metres, on which Plazza intends to realise a quarter with a mixed use of residential, commercial, neighbourhood supply and local recreation space in the next few years. According to current planning, a total of over 500 apartments could be built and 16,000 sqm of commercial space realized, Plazza says.
In 2019, Plazza has signed a building lease agreement with a cantonally funded foundation that is planning a nursing home on the site, and has agreed with the municipality of Crissier to build a primary school building. These two properties will also be part of the first stage. It is scheduled for completion in 2024. (ah)
