Zurich: Livingtown creates micro apartments in Altstetten
By the end of 2021, 64 small-format, fully equipped apartments will be built by Livingtown in Baslerpark in Zurich-Altstetten.

The Livingtown residential concept creates new living space in Zurich that meets the growing need for independence and flexibility, according to the company of the same name. In the Baslerpark in Zurich-Altstetten, professionals from all over the world will share work and living space and enjoy hotel-like amenities: Concierge desk, fitness center, pool table, cleaning service and more. A Community Zone - consisting of a living room and kitchen landscape - aims to invite people to cook, eat and linger together. There is also a coworking space by Office LAB in the same building. In addition, various communal spaces such as a laundry room or work and leisure rooms are available.
The living concept is aimed at freelancers, digital nomads, expats and singles, says Roger Krieg, co-founder of Livingtown. They should be able to settle in quickly, work productively and be part of a community. The 64 lofts are fully equipped and include a kitchen, sleeping area, wet room and living and dining area. Furniture can be moved at the touch of a button, so that the bedroom can become an office in seconds.
"Our goal is to build a sustainable network with more coliving spaces in Swiss cities," Krieg says. The rental apartments in Zurich are expected to be ready for occupancy in early January 2022. (a.o.)
