Arlesheim: La Colline is being built
Steiner AG announces that the La Colline real estate project in Arlesheim (BL) can be completed following a ruling by the Federal Court.

With its decision, the Federal Supreme Court strengthens the principle that a builder may rely on a legally valid building permit. The building owner and Steiner AG state in a media release that they complied with all procedural rules during the several-year procedure for the legally binding granting of the building permit and obtained a building permit on 25 October 2019 that became legally binding without being contested. Helvetia Nostra subsequently demanded that the building plot be included in the inventory of natural objects worthy of protection and that the approved "Uf der Höchi - II" neighbourhood plan be declared null and void. In addition, the plaintiff wanted the building permit, which had become legally binding, to be revoked.
The La Colline development comprises five apartment buildings with 29 condominiums and 16 terraced single-family houses. The project is highly controversial in the region, with opponents criticizing the fact that the southern buildings of the development are very close to the Goethenaum in Dornach (SO). This would partially block the unobstructed view from the north of the ensemble, which enjoys national protection. (ua/ah)
