Winterthur: Radisson opens hotel in the locomotive city
The Radisson hotel group wants to open a hotel of the lifestyle brand Radisson Red in Winterthur's Lokstadt and thus complete the market entry of this brand in Switzerland.
The Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) wants to expand in the entire DACH region and open a total of 14 new hotels with 2,500 rooms by 2024. One focus is on the lifestyle brand Radisson Red: Six new hotels are planned here alone.
The first Radisson Red in Switzerland is scheduled to open in 2024 - in the Lokstadt in Winterthur. The corresponding contracts between Radisson and the real estate company Ina Invest, the owner of Lokstadt, were signed during the commercial real estate trade fair Expo Real in Munich. According to the hotel group, the Radisson Red Winterthur will have 180 rooms and its own gastronomy.
Further hotels under the Radisson Red brand are being built in Vienna (2), Innsbruck, Cologne and Stuttgart. RHG also plans to expand in Switzerland with the Radisson Blu brand: a hotel with 250 rooms is scheduled to open in Geneva in 2024.
